Salary: £75,000 per annum + Car allowance + package


Job Summary:


The successful Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing all contract management activities related to our commercial fit-out projects. This role requires exceptional organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a thorough understanding of commercial contract law. The Contracts Manager will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.


Key responsibilities:


  • Contract Oversight: Manage and oversee all aspects of contract administration, from tender to project completion.
  • Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contract execution, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring all financial aspects of contracts are meticulously tracked and reported.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favourable terms and protect the company’s interests.
  • Documentation: Ensure all contract documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date, including variations, extensions, and claims.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and enforce quality standards across all projects, ensuring that all work meets the company’s high standards and client expectations.
  • Team Coordination: Work closely with project managers, site managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any contract-related issues that arise during the project, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.


Requirements:


  • Experience: Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the commercial fit-out or construction industry.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications such as MRICS or MCIOB are highly desirable.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams to achieve project goals.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, ensuring all work meets quality and regulatory standards.
  • Problem Solving: Proactive problem-solving abilities, with a focus on finding practical solutions to contract-related challenges.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in contract management software and tools, with strong knowledge of MS Office Suite.
