Performance Analyst Lead
ASA is looking for a Performance Analyst Lead to work alongside their client in the public sector, supporting the delivery of high-quality public services.
Role Details
- Role Title: Performance Analyst Lead
- Location: Hybrid working across offices in Glasgow or Edinburgh with occasional travel to other locations, including Dundee. Travel costs are covered for public transport.
- 4 days per week – for an initial 12 month contract (inside IR35) with potential to extend
Role Description
As a Performance Analyst Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and supporting the User Centered Design team. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across the Social Security Scotland Agency and the wider programme, you will:
- Evaluate and define performance measurement strategies and platforms.
- Provide expert insights from qualitative and quantitative data to inform service design decisions.
- Act as an escalation point for complex issues and remove blockers.
- Lead, coach, and mentor performance analysts at all levels.
- Advocate for a data-driven culture and ensure the accuracy and quality of analytics outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive performance analytics strategy, including data implementation and architecture.
- Share knowledge to promote a data-driven approach across the organisation.
- Collaborate with design specialists to deliver user-centered services.
- Support programme assurance activities and corporate initiatives.
- Coordinate with the SG Data Profession to maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proficiency with Google Analytics, Data Studio, and Tag Manager, including APIs, data security, and privacy considerations.
- Expertise in data transformation, analysis, and visualization tools such as Excel and Tableau.
- Proven ability to communicate analytical insights to stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience gathering technical requirements and working with developers to deliver solutions.

- Security Clearance: A valid Basic Disclosure Scotland Certificate is required.
