Financial Director

Our client, a successful, privately owned, commercial and residential property developer, is approaching the market via Adjacency Executive Search, to find their next Finance Director as the incumbent plans his retirement programme. This is a pivotal senior leadership role working in partnership with the business's owners and other senior executives to provide robust financial guidance, management and reporting.
Managing a small, but well-established and proven Finance team, you will oversee all elements of the group and individual project financial management.
This is a hybrid role where you will be expected in the office for a minimum of c.3 days a week, to the west of Oxford. Free parking is available on-site.
Key elements of the role -
- Ensuring strong financial management in order to minimise risk and increase the success and operational efficiencies to deliver objectives.
- Providing clear guidance, and advice on financial management ensuring compliance to legislation and good practice.
- Reporting and preparing information for the Owners, Directors and other key stakeholders, to support decision-making and business planning.
- Ensuring accurate management and statutory accounting information is recorded, maintained and reported to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and robust decision-making.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders internally and externally to ensure effective service delivery and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Managing the finance function to include performance management, recruitment and development of quality people ensuring your teams are appropriately skilled and qualified to meet business needs.
- Manage and contribute to projects and change programmes supporting the company’s values and objectives.
- Oversee the health and safety, procurement and HR functions.
You will -
- Be fully qualified
- Will have demonstrable experience of implementing process efficiencies, managing change and business transformation experience.
- Proven experience of undertaking statutory and management accounting
- Commercial and current, with a growth mindset.
- Experience of managing acquisitions and business integration may be advantageous
- Be flexible and agile to suit the business needs. You may be given additional areas of responsibility or project management as required.
