Clarity is seeking to hire an Associate with 2+ years' experience in consumer-facing executive search.

Responsibilities:


Briefing with Partner/Client

· Prepare ahead of client briefing, including business background, sector dynamics etc and relevant areas to explore at meeting

· Use briefing to gain a clear understanding of the role and requirements, salary level and timeline

· Write up, record & share notes


Business Development Tasks

· Proactively help with pitch preparation through suggesting and pulling together concept target list, market positioning of client / SWOT analysis and team biographies, etc

· Think about relevant track record, assist in creating presentation and think through relevant questions to ask in pitch

· Support with research pre-BD meetings


Client update calls / status reports

· Liaise with relevant EA on the production of reporting documents for client update calls/status reports

· Present in a professional, confident and knowledgeable way to the client in conjunction with Partner/Consultant

· Agree on next actions with the client/Consultant/Partner at the end of the meeting and communicate the action points accordingly


Candidate Interviews / Shortlist

· Where appropriate, contribute to selecting the shortlist

· Attend candidate interviews, contribute and take appropriate notes

· Draft candidate reports, ensuring that all relevant contact, career background & financials are captured

· Participate in the follow-up calls with clients to gain feedback and understand the interview process/next steps

· Support/take ownership for the 360 Candidate References and produce the report

· Turn off unsuccessful candidates

· Establish regular follow up calls with the candidate, client and partner/consultant


Research

· With the assistance of inhouse analysts, lead research as part of the search team, keeping Project Lead up-to-date at all times

· Prepare draft target list using relevant search track records and database

· Organise brainstorm with the team to identify sources, potential candidates and ideas for expanding the target list where necessary

· Support Consultant/Partner in preparing Role Specification for approval by the client

· Develop Crib Sheet to prepare for calls and determine the eligibility of the candidate against the brief

· With the support of the research analysts, map the market and identify candidates through wide use of internal and external sources of information (database, LinkedIn, Google, press etc).

· Use desk research and source calls to gain a deeper understanding of target list companies and their structures

· Agree on the timeline for client status updates and work with EA to schedule

· Identify further potential candidates through conversations with sources; gaining in-depth knowledge and probing suggestions against the brief

· Approach candidates, handle questions/challenges & understand career motivations

· Telephone screen candidates prior to inviting them for interview

· Lead internal communications and keep the team updated on progress


The route to Partner at Clarity is as follows:

Research Analyst > Associate > Senior Associate > Consultant > Associate Partner > Partner


Required Experience

· Bachelors degree or above

· Strong research, analysis and report-writing skills

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Attention to detail and organisational skills

· High level of interest in the retail, consumer and hospitality industries

· 2+ years consumer-facing sector executive search experience, with knowledge of CRM Database e.g. (Searcher/Ezekia/SalesForce)


Additional Information:

· Full time, permanent position based in Central London; the successful candidate(s) will work in the office three days per week, with two days per week of flexible working
