Senior Data Modeler – Snowflake – Investment Management

An elite Investment Management firm in are looking to hire a Senior Data Modeller with strong experience working with Snowflake to join their new Data & AI team in a permanent position.


The Data Modeller will work with Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Data Architects to develop and implement data models and a new data platform. These will support analytics and AI across the organisation, as part of a major programme of Data & Analytics advancement.


Your Key responsibilities will be:

  • Designing and maintaining data models to advance analytics, Data Science and AI initiatives
  • Working with Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Data Architects to integrate data models into the overall data platform
  • Helping define and future-proof data platform target state, with data models underpinning solution designs and detailed use case technical architecture
  • Providing thought leadership and supporting the business in advancement of a data strategy, including adoption of Machine Learning and GenAI capabilities, and defining and prioritizing future business use cases to be implemented on the data platform


To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in data modelling or equivalent with a focus on database objects, data structures, data types
  • Excellent Hands-on experience designing Raw, Conformed and Curated Data Layers inside Snowflake (Essential)
  • Excellent hands on experience developing conceptual, logical and physical data models in complex enterprise IT environments
  • Excellent database systems knowledge and experience
