Trading Operations Specialist - Leading Trading Firm - London


My client is looking for a talented trading operations engineer. They specialise in algorithmic trading, handling large volumes across global venues. Engages in Equity, FX, Fixed Income, Commodity & Options markets. They utilize advanced computational techniques and state-of-the-art infrastructure to enhance trading algorithms.


The Role:

The role will provide exposure across all areas of the business. The candidate is given the opportunity to take ownership over processes from the very beginning. With the guidance of the team, the individual will improve and develop new processes using a range of technical skills such as Go and SQL.


  • Trade Support daily reconciliations of cash, positions, and trading activity.
  • Automation: Building and maintaining automated processes and tools.
  • Promotes teamwork, open communication, and a non-hierarchical culture.
  • Opportunities to improve and develop processes using skills like Go and SQL
  • Opportunities to engage in various asset classes and trade executions.
  • Managing cash and collateral across multiple brokers.


Skills needed:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree (minimum 2:1) in Mathematics, Economics or related STEM degree
  • Between 2-10 years relevant industry experience in a trading operations role
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyse and fix problems in a fast moving environment.
  • Some programming experience (Python, Go) related to automation and data manipulation (SQL).
