The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity for a passionate and driven Building Surveyor to work with this dynamic multi-discipline construction consultancy, in an exciting time in their evolution. Work flexibly across projects in Brighton and Hove, to help the Founder deliver quality work to clients.
You will work closely with Lee Garratt the founder who is passionate, highly experienced, empathetic and will instruct you clearly on each project, so that you have the information you need.
The company is growing and there will be more opportunities in the future.
The Role
- Advising clients about building/property issues, including technical, financial, legal, environmental/sustainability, building regulation and restoration matters.
- Carry out RICS Level 1, 2 and 3 Pre-purchase surveys
- Cost Reinstatement Assessments for insurance purposes
- Planned Preventative Maintenance reports
- Commercial Condition Surveys and Snagging Surveys
- Monitoring deterioration or defects of a property and offering advice on repair work.
- Creating Scope of Works documents, tendering and contract administration for renovation works and dilapidations.
- This role has autonomy to carry out any other services they may specialise in such as Boundary Disputes, Party Wall Agreements etc depending on their background, as there are plans to grow the business into different Surveying services.
Qualifications and experience
- RICS member or Associate is a requirement for this role
- Experience with properties around Brighton & Hove
- Previous experience in the tasks listed above including Home Surveys
The Details
- Contract: Freelance role, up to 2 days per week depending on demand
- Remuneration: £350 - £400 depending on project and level
- Location: Brighton & Hove
