What we are looking for:


Reporting to the Head Of Data, the Power BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing and deploying interactive and insightful data visualisation, reports and dashboards on Microsoft Power BI.

The Power BI Developer will work as part of the MI team, within the wider IT department, to develop and implement new MI data marts and warehouses, to provide a robust platform for MI reporting and analysis for the business, as well as analysis to identify trends and patterns to help support the business in making key decisions.

Essential Experience:

• At least 1 year experience using Microsoft SQL Server.

• Strong Power BI skills

• Experience working with multiple data platforms and data sources.

• Experience working in a similar role.

• Have a good understanding of relational database design and development.

• Able to work effectively across multiple projects or change activities simultaneously.

• Demonstrable Stakeholder Management skills

• Data Modelling

• Ability to think analytically and present relevant information concisely.

• Ability to think creatively and generate innovative solutions.

• Ability to gather business requirements and present at the correct level


Desirable Experience


• Experience of mentoring and coaching more junior team members

• Proficient with Tableau reporting tool

• Experience in automating processes

• Experience using SSRS with the ability to write robust data processes combining data from multiple sources.

• Expert proficiency in Excel, including strong spreadsheet, data-management, and presentation skills.


Working hours are 37.5 core hours are 08.30 - 17.00 Monday to Friday.

Based in Horwich Bolton

Starting salary - £40,000.00
