Global fund with multi jurisdiction coverage to include Europe, US and Asia across diverse investment strategies and product suite.
London is the funds HQ and therefore a key hub for all strategic decisions and plans for growth and scale. Compliance playing a central role in said decisions.
This newly appointed Compliance Manager will cover a diverse remit of duties and lead all regulation matters for the EU entity. Key duties will include:
- Leading the funds compliance program.
- Partnering with senior management, department heads and trading on all regulatory matters.
- Regularly presenting to the board.
- Ensuring the fund maintains a robust compliance control framework as well as automating said frameworks and looking for more efficiencies.
- Continuous risk assessment of entire compliance program working with tech to spot gaps and opportunities for enhancement
- Investment advisory to trading
- Trade compliance monitoring
- Maintaining various regulatory registers
- AML and sanctions
- Oversight of compliance manual, core compliance and all core processes and procedures
- Horizon scanning and staying close to market developments and best practice, regularly presenting back to the board and senior management
- Training, mentoring and managing a small junior team
Experience required
- Strong buy side compliance.
- Asset Management, Hedge Fund or Consultancy.
- Broad compliance coverage, investment compliance and trade compliance monitoring of particular importance.
- Strong asset/product coverage
- Confidence in presenting to senior management and board members.
- Confidence in dealing with traders and investment teams.
