TickX is a transformative technology company, which supports producers in the theatre and events industry to sell directly to their customers. We work with huge names in the entertainment world, from London’s West End to New York and Las Vegas.


Founded in 2015, TickX started life as an aggregator for live events. We invested heavily in technology to refine the searching and booking process and became experts in developing high-converting customer experiences across multiple event types.


This led us to be approached by key industry players, working with them to develop cutting-edge B2B solutions.

In 2020 TickX evolved to become a pure-play SaaS company, taking all our learnings from events aggregation to create our flexible Booking and Marketing Layer. This comprises our innovative booking technology and unique marketing toolkit which give event producers the tools they need to power smart, digital marketing.


Since 2020 we have expanded exponentially gaining customers across the UK, USA & Canada, growing our product offering into new markets and evolving to meet the challenges of new industries. This means you'll be joining a growing team based across the UK, Brazil, USA and Canada.

Your Roles and Responsibilities

As a Product Designer for the TickX Purchase Flows team, you’ll:

  • Be working on our current customer-facing product, designing features and improvements to enhance the TickX platform.
  • Confidently use design to solve problems and product challenges that arise for our customers and their customers.
  • Collaborate closely with the full team made up of product, engineering and data to identify and develop insight and design experiments (CRO and A/B tests) across our purchase flows.
  • Discover, research and explore new features and further improvements to enhance the effectiveness of our growing product.
  • Engage and create new research for the business to leverage insights and drive new opportunities for our existing clients.
  • Be excited to help shape the TickX product as well as contribute to improving our design methods and approach across the wider design team.
  • Be comfortable fully owning all aspects of the design process for our Purchase Flows:

- Gathering insights from both qualitative and quantitative outputs to understand complex problems and develop fresh ideas.

- Building, performing and analysing user research to identify opportunities for improvement in the current booking flows.

- Ideating, prototyping (and testing these where needed), iterating and creating high-fidelity visuals.

- Working with the engineering team members to build and develop designs, signing off on quality from a design perspective.

- You strive to create accessible, inclusive designs and have a solid understanding of these requirements.


Purchase Flows?

These are the booking journeys that our customer’s customers experience. We have lots of customers in the theatre and events space which means different requirements:

  • Seated theatre productions
  • Immersive experiences
  • Attractions
  • Venues


Our Structure

TickX is structured into vertically aligned teams with all the capability to run autonomously and deliver value against set, team-defined goals.


Currently, we have 4 teams and this number will continue to grow as the business and product develop. This means lots of opportunities and potential for career development.


Our teams contain:

  • 1x Product Manager
  • 3-4x Engineers
  • 1x Product Designer
  • QA Tester & Automated Testing Support
  • Data Analyst Support


What Makes You A Good Fit?

  • You have 3+ years of digital design experience.
  • You might have worked in an agency but are looking to focus more on a single product.
  • You’re a team player who enjoys collaborating with others but still thrives in being autonomous.
  • You’re excited by all aspects of the design process including user research and visual design.
  • You’re confident articulating your design decisions to team members, internal stakeholders and clients.
  • You’re proficient in visual or interaction design and have a strong capability when it comes to prototyping and visualising your ideas (our software of choice is Figma).
  • Experience in an optimisation business or team would be preferable.
