The Role:

As an IT Help Desk Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the company’s IT systems, with a particular focus on server logs and Linux environments. You will work closely with the US-based IT team to resolve technical issues, troubleshoot server-related problems, and maintain system stability. This is a unique opportunity to grow your career quickly in a high-growth FinTech company, with the potential for international exposure and professional development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for server issues, IT infrastructure, and end-user problems.
  • Monitor and analyse server logs to identify performance bottlenecks and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Utilise your Linux knowledge to troubleshoot, manage, and maintain server environments.
  • Collaborate closely with the US team to address technical challenges and ensure seamless communication between the UK and US operations.
  • Escalate more complex issues as needed, and follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Document technical processes, solutions, and best practices to help optimize IT support functions.
  • Support the IT team in scaling processes and systems as the company grows rapidly in the UK market.


Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an IT Help Desk or Technical Support role, preferably in a FinTech or fast-paced technology environment.
  • Strong experience working with server logs for diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Linux, with the ability to navigate, troubleshoot, and manage server systems.
  • Excellent communication skills for working effectively with the US-based IT team and other stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, networking, or database management is a plus.
  • Experience working in a fast-growing, cross-functional team is advantageous.
