Position overview

We are looking for a skilled Textile and Design Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with an expert understanding of textile engineering, design innovation, and premium garment development. As a key member of our creative team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and curating textile designs that resonate with our brand values, ensuring every detail meets Luca Faloni’s standards of elegance and quality.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, sourcing, and marketing, to conceptualise and develop innovative textile solutions aligned with brand aesthetics.
  • Research and select high-quality textiles and sustainable materials to integrate into new and existing product lines.
  • Create technical design specifications, from initial fabric concept to final product, ensuring quality, functionality, and durability.
  • Lead trend analysis to introduce contemporary, timeless colours and textures that align with our brand's vision and clientele expectations.
  • Conduct quality assessments of materials to ensure consistency and excellence, liaising closely with the procurement manager, suppliers and manufacturing partners.
  • Stay current on emerging textile technologies and sustainability practices, and propose ideas to incorporate them into our processes.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Textile Design, Textile Engineering, Fashion Design, or a related field.
  • Solid experience in textile design, fabric development, or related roles within luxury fashion or premium textiles.
  • Proven track record in fabric sourcing, testing, and garment construction.
  • Strong understanding of textiles, weaves, and sustainable fabric innovations.
  • Excellent design and colour sense, with proficiency in relevant design software (Adobe Creative Suite, CLO, etc.).
  • Detail-oriented with outstanding project management skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Passionate about Italian heritage, craftsmanship, and luxury menswear design.
