Introduction

We're on the lookout for a dedicated and motivated Install Engineer who's ready to take on an exciting hands-on role. If you have a solid understanding of basic electrics, plumbing, and on-site routines plus experience with hybrid systems, Solar PV, or generators that's a huge plus But if you come from an engineering or electrical background and are eager to learn, we'd love to hear from you too.

In this role, you'll be out on-site from 8 AM to 5 PM, with the flexibility to work beyond standard hours when needed. A full UK driving license is essential, as you'll be traveling to different locations. If you're looking for a role where no two days are the same and you can grow your expertise in a fast-moving industry, this could be the perfect fit

What will I be doing?

Full site installations to include:

  • Assisting in location of welfare and accommodation with the use of a crane. (CPCS Slinger Signaller desirable or experience in lifting operations).
  • Ability to install various site welfare in various configurations.
  • Establish water connections on site either from mains water or external water source.
  • Establish power connections with the use of fly leads ranging from 16amp, 32amp and 63amp. (plug and play). Power is established from a range of hybrid Think Hire products.
  • Disconnections of the above. (Site demobilisation)
    • The ability to read and understand Method Statements, Risk assessments, Lift Plans & Site drawings and brief them out to a site install team.

What do I need to succeed?

In this role, you'll get hands-on with the key components of our hybrid systems, including Solar PV, battery storage, wind turbines, and diesel/LPG generators. You'll be responsible for programming and fine-tuning both new and existing systems to ensure everything runs smoothly. When issues arise, your fault-finding skills will be crucial whether that means diagnosing problems on-site or making remote adjustments to optimize performance. Occasionally, you'll visit sites to troubleshoot and resolve issues firsthand, keeping our systems operating at peak efficiency.
