Senior BIM Coordinator – London


Job Description:


A leading AJ100 architectural practice is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior BIM Coordinator. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing the BIM and digital capabilities across the practices multiple and international offices, ensuring efficient collaboration, coordination, and delivery of projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in BIM, strategic planning, and client interaction.


Key Responsibilities:


Coordination: Lead and oversee the coordination efforts within the BIM and digital teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and integration of BIM processes across various projects.


Training: Develop and implement training programs for internal teams to enhance their BIM skills and promote a culture of continuous learning.


Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of the BIM strategy, aligning it with the overall business objectives of the architectural practice.


Process Optimization: Drive the optimization of BIM workflows and processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and project delivery.


Client and Contractor Interaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and contractors, understanding their needs and expectations, and effectively communicating the benefits of BIM in project delivery.


Change Management: Spearhead the introduction and implementation of changes in BIM methodologies and digital tools, ensuring a smooth transition for the team.


Digital Programs and AI: Demonstrate an interest or experience in emerging digital programs and AI, exploring opportunities to integrate advanced technologies into the architectural design and project delivery process.


Qualifications and Experience:


  1. Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
  2. Proven experience in a BIM management role within an architectural practice.
  3. Strong coordination skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
  4. Demonstrated ability to provide training and support to teams in adopting BIM processes.
  5. Strategic thinking and experience in developing and implementing BIM strategies.
  6. Excellent communication skills for effective client and contractor engagement.
  7. Familiarity with AI and other software/functions across the future of the digital world would be advantageous.
