EYFS Teaching Assistant | Job Description

  • Providing classroom support to children in Nursery and Reception with Autism Spectrum Condition, Speech and Communication Difficulties, ADHD.
  • Planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals and groups of students.
  • Monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupil achievement, progress and development.
  • Building core skills and supporting a strong knowledge base through a tailored approach to the individual needs of the pupils.
  • Working within a high staff to pupil ratio to enable an individualized approach to learning.
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with parents, carers and family.


This EYFS Teaching Assistant role will require a motivated, determined, resilient and dedicated individual who is ready to fully embrace challenge and who approaches set-backs with a positive, can-do attitude. Previous experience working within the SEND field will be advantageous.
