The IT Test Lead role will be responsible to lead and guide the testing activities within the S/4HANA Program. The Test Lead will oversee the “testing team” consisting of Key Users and SMEs as well as collaborating with other team members such as developers, business analysts, and system admins. Testing will be completed by a variety of project and business resources; the Test Lead will need to be able to effectively work with a diverse group of resources with different levels of testing knowledge and skills.


This is a hands-on role and the Test Lead will be responsible developing the test plan, overseeing its execution, and delivering the product. The Test Lead report to the Validation Process Manager to ensure that Verification and Validation activites required for the project are completed on-time.


Test Plan, Test Case Creation, Review and Approval, Test Environment Setup, UAT Execution, Defect Management.


To perform this role efficiently, test Lead must be well-versed in testing methods.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy and Planning:
  • the Test Strategy for the Project, with a specific focus on S/4HANA migration project
  • with project managers, business analysts, and SAP functional consultants to understand the requirements.
  • test scope, objectives, and deliverables tailored to the S/4 Program
  • and Manage the Test Plan for the Project
  • test types and test tools to be used
  • a Testing timeline
  • Test environment setup
  • Training assignments
  • Execution:
  • testers on Testing Standard Work
  • the execution of test plans, ensuring that testing activities are aligned with the complexities of S/4 Program.
  • various types of testing, including system testing, data migration testing, integration testing, regression testing, and performance testing, specific to S/4HANA.
  • test documents, ensuring the test demonstrates test case acceptance criteria
  • completed tests, ensuring the test evidence is correct.
  • with Validation Manager to disposition testing issues
  • testing status to project team
  • and report on testing metrics
  • Leadership:
  • and mentor a team of Business user who will complete the SAP testing
  • guidance and support to team members, ensuring a deep understanding of the challenges and nuances associated with SAP Testing.
  • comfortable with details and be hands-on to make sure the delivery expectations are met

Coordinate the team and implement development processes to continuously deliver on time with high efficiency.

  • Communication:
  • communicate test progress, results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders, emphasizing the critical role of testing in successful S/4HANA migration program.
  • with project managers to provide accurate and timely status reports with a particular focus on migration milestones.
  • Improvement:
  • opportunities for process improvement within the testing lifecycle, particularly regarding S/4HANA migration best practices.
  • and share insights into testing methodologies, tools, and industry trends related to SAP Testing.


Qualifications:

  • degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • knowledge of SAP applications, modules, configurations, and S/4HANA migration processes.
  • with various testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, with an emphasis on
  • to travel as needed (up to 10%).
  • regulated environment experience would be beneficial
  • experience as an SAP Test Lead/Manager, with a focus on S/4HANA migration projects would be beneficial.
  • certification and S/4HANA certification is a plus
