Role - Lead Security Architect ( DevSecOps)
Location - Remote (occasional travel)
Salary - up to £110,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance
Intaso's key client have a requirement for a Lead Security Architect with strong DevSecOps and SDLC experience. This role is 90+% remote but will have occasional travel to one of the local offices.
About the role:
This position will be pivotal in establishing a secure-by-default mindset and a zero-trust model, designing architectures that enable the organization to swiftly adopt emerging technologies while staying ahead of new security threats. Additionally, the role will deputise for the Chief Security Architect when necessary. Improving the DevSecOps methodology and advancing SDLC practices is a critical objective in helping the organisation meet the goals outlined in its updated technology strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Security Architect (DevSecOps)
- Develop Global Security Patterns for SDLC and CI/CD frameworks
- Oversee the creation of Proofs of Concept and Proofs of Value.
- Design SDLC Engineering Templates
- Establish and update Technical Reference Models
- Define and implement Security Capability Requirements
- Manage Technical Security Configurations
- Lead strategy and direction on integrating security into the development pipeline and the overall application lifecycle.
- Provide guidance on DevSecOps adoption across various business units to ensure consistent practices.
- Facilitate collaboration and alignment across different teams and business units.
- Spearhead the implementation of SDLC/DevSecOps tools and architectures.
Experience and skills:
- Expertise in effectively communicating security risks to senior leadership and coordinating across multiple organizational areas.
- Proven ability to design and implement innovative security measures within cloud environments.
- Deep understanding of secure development lifecycles and operational models within DevSecOps.
- Experience in delivering cloud-based architecture solutions that:
- Identify and address architectural vulnerabilities and common security weaknesses.
- Spot security risks arising from improper configuration of system components.
- Analyse how complex, multi-stage attack methods are prevented through secure design.
- Recognize areas that need in-depth technical evaluation due to their potential security impact.
- Clearly explain security issues and propose suitable mitigation strategies, factoring in technical and business limitations (such as cost and functionality).
- Contribute to building deployment architectures that solve key business challenges while specifying the necessary security measures.
- Tailor security advice to meet specific customer needs, based on an understanding of their business context.
- Develop patterns and methods to clearly communicate security concepts to a broad range of stakeholders.
