On behalf of our client based in a village between Salisbury and Amesbury, we are recruiting an Assistant Yard Supervisor/Delivery Driver to join their small but busy team . Our client has been established for 35+ years and has a reputation for selling quality products at great prices backed up with years of experience and excellent customer service.
In this diverse role, the successful candidate will be responsible for picking and delivering orders, assisting customers and managing stock in the yard i.e. unloading, unpacking and general yard maintenance. The successful candidate will serve customers in the yard, shop and on the ‘phone, remaining professional and delivering excellent customer service at all time
To be successful in this role, all applicants must posses strong communication skills, be customer led, numerically literate, have the ability to operate a basic IT package, a flexible approach to work to support the business needs and the willingness to be trained on the job. All applicants must hold a full clean driving licence. Due to location of the organisation, in most circumstances a personal vehicle will be essential.
Please note that this role involves manual handling. Training will be given for any machinery used.
This role would suit someone who enjoys physical work and customer interaction, whilst working within a small team.
This is a part time role initially, with the potential of increased hours should the successful candidate and client see necessary as the role progresses.
16-20 hrs per week to include Saturday mornings (during busy periods) – flexible within the clients opening hours.
Package to include; 20 days holiday (pro rata) plus bank holidays/employee discount/pension scheme/ onsite free parking/uniform provided/friendly relaxed working environment.
£25,000 pro rata
