LTF Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to support a Year 1 child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and challenging behaviour. Our partner school are committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for their students and are looking for a candidate who shares this vision.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one support to a Year 1 student with ASD, focusing on behavioural management and emotional regulation.
Implement tailored strategies and interventions to address challenging behaviours.
Foster a calm and positive atmosphere to enhance the child's learning experience.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to create and maintain an effective support plan.
Monitor and report on the child's progress, adapting approaches as needed.Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children with ASD and challenging behaviour.
A calming presence, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to remain patient, empathetic, and consistent in high-stress situations.
Understanding of positive behaviour support techniques and intervention strategies.
Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (SEN) or behaviour management (preferred but not essential).We are looking for candidates who are passionate and ambitious with a drive and commitment to improve the life chances of young people; with an exceptional and creative approach toward improvement, learning and fun.
