Do you have experience as an Inspection Supervisor working within the Aerospace industry? If so a global Aerospace supplier are looking to recruit an Inspection Supervisor to manage the priorities of the Inspection Department. Reporting to the Quality Manager you will ensure that products coming into the business are inspected and that compliance to customer and third-party requirements are met. If you have experience managing a team, can read and understand drawings and technical data then this is an excellent opportunity to work for a great company in a fantastic environment.

Duties:
Supervise the day to day running of the Inspection Department providing guidance and support to Inspectors
Working with relevant departments to manage department priorities
Manage, review and action Inspection Queries, Shelf Life Inventory, Product Non Conformities and Supplier Returns
Support Continuous Improvement activities identifying ways to improve the processes
Perform dimensional, visual and documentation inspection on incoming parts and outgoing products
Document and review Inspection results and outcomes
Create, Manage and Review FAIRs in accordance with AS9102
Participate in Root Cause Failure Mode investigations
Document product quality issues / concerns
Determine and oversee inspection standards for incoming goods
Experience Required:
Must have strong people management skills
A knowledge of aerospace regulations, AS9102 and ISO 2859-1 preferable
Knowledge of Problem Solving Techniques and Tools
Ability to read and understand technical data including drawings and specifications, etc
Prior experience of using measuring equipment such as micrometres, verniers, etc.
Technical engineering apprenticeship would be preferable
Must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Word, MS Office.
Numeracy and literacy skills
Previous experience of working within an Inspection / Quality Role would be beneficial
