Job Details

  • Support the Chief Risk Officer ('CRO') in ensuring that Hastings harnesses the upside and controls the downside of the risks that it faces across the Group so that Hastings achieves its full potential in line with the 3-year plan objectives.
  • Leading a team of Subject Matter Experts ('SME') across disciplines of risk, operational resilience, incident management and business continuity to ensure that Hastings has a well-designed Risk Management Framework that is effectively implemented across the Group on an ongoing basis.
  • Role modelling and providing leadership in the successful delivery of the CRO function's strategy, which has ambitions to enable greater stability in group profitability through insight, to drive good customer outcomes in all business priorities, and to optimise Hastings' commercial performance.

  • Experience of successfully leading Operational and Enterprise Risk agendas within Financial Services.
  • Strong and effective communication skills, and the ability to sustain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels - a strong communicator & influencer with the ability to effect change.
  • Working at pace and with resilience in the successful delivery of change.
  • A team player, who compliments the CRO functions leadership team, and builds talent.
  • Constantly strengthening existing technical expertise.
  • Proven SME in Business Continuity Management, Incident Management and Operational Resilience programme delivery.
