Overview of rolenThe Principal Technical Consultant will play a leading role in driving ETAP Enterprise Solutions whilst providing expert technical support and Sales Support. The role offers the opportunity to work, gain training and experience as part of a growing and dynamic UK based engineering team supporting a range of industry sectors. This is fantastic opportunity to part of a dynamic enthusiastic and growing team within the UK Power Industry.

Duties and Responsibilitiesn1. Expertise in Electrical Engineering:nAs a principal consultant, you would be expected to have extensive knowledge and experience in electrical engineering, including power systems, control systems, electronics, and related fields.n2. Consulting Services:nPlay a pivotal part in growing our consulting services and provide a high level of professionalism to clients, which may include businesses, government agencies, or other organizations.nAdvise clients on electrical systems, energy efficiency, safety standards, and other relevant areas.n3. Project Management:nOversee and lead electrical engineering projects from conception to completion.nCoordinate with clients, project teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.n4. Business Development:nActively participate in business development activities, such as identifying new client opportunities, working closely with the sales teams in preparing proposals, and winning new projects.nBuild and maintain strong client relationships along with assisting the pre and post sales support to the team.n5. Technical Leadership:nProvide technical leadership to a team of engineers and professionals.nStay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, best practices, legislation and new or updated standards.nWork wit the development teams to ensure the software is up to date with the relevant standards and develop technical specifications to support the development team in ensuring the software is up to date.n6. Regulatory Compliance:nEnsure that electrical systems and projects comply with relevant regulations, codes, and standards and compliance to our QA processes.n7. Problem Solving:nAddress complex technical challenges and provide innovative solutions.nTroubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the course of a project.n8. Communication Skills:nEffectively communicate technical information to both technical and non(1)technical audiences.nPrepare and deliver reports, presentations, and documentation.n9. Quality Assurance:nMaintain high-quality standards for deliverables and services.n10. Training:nAssist in delivering customer training courses for both standard training courses along with customised course including Grid Code.n11. EventsnAssist in planning and attending Conferences, Exhibitions, Technical Seminars

Skills, Knowledge and ExperiencenA significant number of years of relevant experience in electrical power system analysis and design;nCapability to utilize standard engineering and mathematical concepts and principles in thendesign, coding, and testing of software components;nWorking knowledge of ETAP and other power system analysis softwarenProficiency in modelling and analysis for industrial and distribution power systems;nFamiliarity with Power Management System concepts and applications;nStrong analytical skills for use in response to technical queries from Clients;nComputer skills related to the creation of reports and presentations in MS Word, MS Excel,nMS PowerPoint; EducationnBEng in Electrical Engineering (power modules required)nMEng in Power System Engineering (preferred)nCEng is an advantage

LocationnOur office is based in Central Milton Keynes although the role is a Hybrid of both remote and office based.
