Financial Software Engineer – St Albans


Our client is a highly tech-focused company, where engineers are integral to the company's continued success and innovation. A prominent force in the spread betting industry for over 20 years, they are now seeking a skilled Financial Software Engineer to join their dynamic team. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to transition into the exciting world of sports betting or financial trading, even without prior experience in these domains.


In this role, you will take ownership of projects throughout the full development lifecycle, applying your expertise in Multithreading and Asynchronous programming to build high-performance systems. Additionally, the role emphasizes strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, ensuring seamless teamwork and knowledge-sharing within the group.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Focus on advanced concepts like Multithreading and Asynchronous programming for optimizing system performance.
  • Work on cutting-edge Microservices architectures to design scalable solutions.
  • Develop both back-end and front-end expertise, with exposure to frameworks like Angular or React .
  • Strong emphasis on teamwork and knowledge sharing, fostering a collaborative work environment.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: Competitive base salary ranging from £80,000 to £100,000 depending on experience.
  • Bonus: A generous bonus scheme of up to 30% of the base salary.
  • Flexibility: A hybrid working model offering up to three remote days per week .


Key requirements:

  • Technical Expertise:
  • Proficient in C# and .NET Framework .
  • Solid experience (7-8 years).
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks (Angular , React ) is preferred.
  • Performance Optimization: Deep understanding of multithreading and asynchronous processes.
  • Collaboration Skills: Strong communication and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
