Main Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Raise relevant work permit requests, accept and follow the permit, isolation procedure and other related safe systems of work to complete the task. Complete and/or contribute to risk assessments associated with all maintenance duties expected for the role.
2. Identify and rectify failures in service, and equipment defects, related to your specific trade and subsequent training and development.
3. Complete scheduled maintenance as per the company maintenance plan to support the running of the production site.
4. Work to company standards and procedures to ensure maintenance tasks are executed to the required quality standard, with the goal of minimising impact on production and maximising plant availability.
5. Develop and review maintenance procedures to keep information accurate, complete and relevant.
6. Contribute to continuous improvement activities with the aim of improving safety, environmental, equipment availability and efficiency performance.
7. Undertake any other duties of which the responsibility, skill and experience required fall within a post holder’s expected capability and commensurate with the post holder’s position in the company.
SHEQ Management
* Ensure that all Environmental, Health & Safety requirements are met during the execution of maintenance tasks.
* Safety – Ensure work is carried out safely and as per company guidelines.
* Quality – Ensure job right first time, minimise rework on equipment by working to quality and performance standards.
* Report any accidents or near misses as required by our health and safety policy.
Equipment Management
Fault finding and improvement activities to reduce repeat equipment failure.
Team Building & Incentive
Maintenance KPI’s such as schedule achievement, right first time, mean time to repair/maintain.
Communication
Communicate and coordinate with production related departments.
Provide technical expertise and campaign updates in customer calls and meetings.
Confidentiality
Follow Corporate regulations to maintain confidentiality on sensitive information.
Key Skills
Essential
Mechanical fitter background, or demonstration of strong mechanical skills along wth an instrument or electrical trade background. Idealy within the chemical, petrochemical or oil and gas industry.
Strong problem solving skills, and the ability to work independently to get work doneas this is a 247 role.
Familiar with the use of computers for allocating, receiving a providing feedback on maintenance work
