Information Governance & Assurance Lead
Location: Birmingham
Rate: £500 - £600 a day (umbrella)
A leading high-speed rail business is seeking an Interim Information Governance Lead to oversee governance and assurance activities, ensuring adherence to data standards and policies across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Define, implement, and monitor a governance framework to guide the use of data.
Develop the information governance & assurance approach, emphasising data as an asset and maintaining organisational compliance.
Ensure a standard approach for the technical assessment of information systems against assurance policies and business objectives.
Develop information assurance policies, standards, and guidelines.
Provide advice and guidance to ensure the adoption of and adherence to information assurance architectures, strategies, policies, standards, and guidelines.
Ensure data is managed appropriately.
Required Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of various information assurance policies and standards, with a focus on industry trends.
Proficiency with data storage tools.
Knowledge of digital information technology trends and the opportunities they present.
Required Experience:
Extensive experience in Information Governance.
Proven ability to translate business requirements into engineered solutions aligned with architectural standards, particularly analytic solutions.
Experience managing data as an asset within major organisations with similar compliance and risk management constraints.
Experience in setting and complying with information policy directives.
Strong understanding of the importance of data and information in construction projects.
