Role Overview:
As a Procurement Assistant at ROC, you'll play a vital role in managing and optimising the flow of materials and services within our supply chain. Based at our London Bridge office, you'll work closely with our senior procurement team, providing essential support to ensure the timely delivery of materials of the highest quality.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Operational Support: Assist in the day-to-day operations of the purchasing department, ensuring strict adherence to operational procurement policies and procedures. This includes processing requisitions within specified timelines.
* Supply Chain Analysis: Provide support to the procurement team by generating supply chain reports and conducting analyses, including assessments of approved sub-contractors, insurance records, trade data, and expenditure.
* Vendor Management: Ensure that all recommended trade contractors, goods, and service providers have successfully undergone the ROC prequalification process. Verify the approval of all suppliers, including sub-contractors, prior to their engagement. Maintain and update the approved Sub-Contractor database.
* Documentation Oversight: Review and request updated sub-contractor paperwork, including insurance certificates and Supplier Quality Evaluation (SQE) documentation.
* Order Management: Handle order placement and engage in negotiation activities to secure cost-effective procurement deals.
* Invoice Resolution: Actively resolve any invoice queries that may arise during the procurement process.
* System Administration: Maintain 4PS/Procore systems and provide administrative support as required.
* General Office Duties: Undertake general office tasks and provide comprehensive support to all members of the procurement team, as needed.
About You:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail oriented individual with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with demonstrated numeracy and literacy skills, equivalent to at least A levels. If you are adaptable, methodical, and committed to personal and professional growth, we encourage you to apply.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Familiarity with the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) process.
* Experience or understanding of the construction or MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) environment.
* Previous experience, ideally from a similar background or industry.
