The Position

We are looking for a driven Aerodynamics Project Leader to work closely with Principal Aerodynamicists and lead a team of talented aerodynamicists. This role focuses on developing and empowering team members to create innovative aerodynamic solutions for a select area of the car.

Key Responsibilities

Work towards clear aerodynamic objectives, maximizing the group's learning through effective use of CFD and experimental data.nEnhance the department’s aerodynamic understanding through thorough analysis and communication of CFD and experimental data.nDevelop and empower less-experienced members of the group.nPrepare, plan, and execute successful wind tunnel test sessions.nCreate clear reporting of results and theories that encourages challenge and sharing of ideas.nMaintain awareness and understanding of the aero package within the group’s area of responsibility with a proactive attitude towards continual improvements and technical innovations.nContribute to a culture of continuous improvement in all aspects of our work.nMaintain positive relationships and clear communication of information throughout the department and across the team.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

Multiple years of experience in F1 aerodynamic development.nStrong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate across functions and departments.nStrong influential ability to gain buy-in and drive collaboration across departments.nDemonstrable ability to develop less-experienced members of the group.nStrong understanding of the fundamentals of aerodynamics.nFamiliarity with CFD techniques, including non-standard models.nProficiency in CAD for the design of aerodynamic surfaces; experience with Siemens NX is useful.

This role require professional Motorsport experience to be considered.
