Business Analyst - Risk Management Project
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our team for an exciting risk management project in partnership with a leading financial institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Bridge the gap between business and IT for risk management.
- Understand trading systems and financial instruments.
- Analyse processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose solutions.
- Use SQL for data analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Design and implement risk management tools.
- Write functional specifications and guide developers.
- Validate data and test risk management systems.
Required Skills
- 6+ years in technical business analysis (risk management/financial services).
- Strong knowledge of financial markets and instruments. (Options | Derivatives | Equities | Bonds | Etc)
- SQL proficiency for complex queries.
- Basic Python understanding and Jupyter Notebook experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Location: Belfast
Contract Length: 6-12 Months (Extension possible)
