About the job

The Technical Sales Engineer will be part of the newly formed UK team, based in the West Midlands and will report to the Regional Sales Director. The duties include:

 

·       Handling the entire range of our solutions for automated test & measurement and academic laboratories;

·       Meeting new clients and develop long term relationships, through managing and interpreting their requirements;

·       Meeting regular sales targets and coordinating sales projects;

·       Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs;

·       Negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions;

·       Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education;

·       Working on after-sales support services and providing technical back up as required;

·       Arranging and carrying out product training;

·       Preparing reports for head office and keeping customer records;

·       Supporting marketing activities by attending marketing events;

·       Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts.

 

The right candidate should:

 

·       Have a university degree in Engineering or Science.

·       Be fluent in English.

·       Be able to travel within the assigned region.

·       Have an outgoing personality, excellent communication skills, be ambitious and results oriented.

·       Possess a valid driver's license.

 

The following qualifications will be considered as additional assets:

 

·       Programming experience in the NI LabVIEW platform.

·       Background in data acquisition / test & measurement technology fields

·       Experience in B2B sales of technology products
