As the Process Improvement Manager, your primary responsibility will be to identify, and drive projects aligned with improvements to chemical plant operations with a focus on throughput, yield, quality cost and safety.

The Process Improvement Manager will work across the plant within the operations teams and consider the benefits of both short and long-term improvement projects, developing a roadmap for projects to improve overall performance.

Leveraging a robust technical and theoretical background within process industries, you will implement practical and sustainable solutions aimed at optimising plant performance, enhancing efficiencies, and reducing costs.

In this Process Improvement Manager position, you will actively engage in coaching team members and cross departmental stakeholders where appropriate.

Key responsibilities of the Process Improvement Manager include:nEnsuring the implementation of effective measurement tools and the collection of performance data for tracking and reporting.nCollaborating with Production Technicians and networking with site engineers to share knowledge on plant operations.nWorking with the supply chain to address plant needs from raw material planningnDriving and ensuring appropriate technical content of Process descriptionsnAnalysing plant data to identify and understand issues.nApplying Continuous Improvement (CI) / Lean methodologies to address constraints.nCreating Change Management documentation, obtaining financial approval, and supporting the implementation and commissioning of solutions.nParticipating in the analysis and resolution of reliability issues.nLeading investigations for incidents.nContributing to Hazard Identification and Risk assessment activities.nManagement of Production Engineering team

The ideal candidate for this role:nHolds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical or Process engineering.nPossesses working knowledge of COMAH environments.nHas experience using tools to enhance manufacturing processes.nDemonstrates solid technical knowledge of core chemical engineering processesnHas experience with automated process control systems.nShows demonstrable experience in leading teams.nExhibits effective communication skills at all levels.nHas the ability to influence through leadership and personal example.nPossesses sound commercial acumen with a demonstrable appreciation of commercial impact of projects being proposed.
