We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Operative to join our Facilities Management team at West Middlesex University Hospital in Isleworth. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week

from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

The role:

Reporting to the Grounds Supervisor.
Maintain the hospital grounds to a professional standard including emptying outdoor bins, litter picking and road sweeping
Carry out snow clearing
Strimming, mowing, weeding, seasonal clearance of fallen leaves and removal of fallen branches
Use relevant tools and equipment, drive company vehicles and machinery safely
Assist trades staff in maintenance work when needed
Assist with stores / move stock and materials
Working 40 hours per week, from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday

The person:

Previous experience of grounds work is preferred but not essential
Good standard of fitness appropriate to the tasks
Excellent customer service skills and a high standard of work and attention to detail
Good organisation skills, including the ability to plan and prioritise work using own initiative
Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing, and to represent the Company in a professional manner to the Client and public
Ability to work within a team or autonomously
Multi skilled with a flexible, proactive, can-do approach
Familiar with Health & Safety procedures
