Identify opportunities for process automation, standardization, and best practice adoption.nSupplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors. Lead supplier performance evaluations, contract negotiations, and ongoing supplier development initiatives to ensure alignment with quality, cost, and delivery objectives.nRisk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate procurement-related risks, including supply chain disruptions, compliance issues, and contractual risks. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to safeguard organizational interests and continuity of operations.nCross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, legal, and compliance, to ensure alignment of procurement activities with broader business objectives. Serve as a trusted advisor and liaison between procurement and other functional areas.nContinuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the procurement function. Lead initiatives to enhance procurement capabilities, optimize systems and tools, and leverage technology solutions to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.nPerformance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor procurement performance and track progress against goals. Prepare and present regular reports and dashboards to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.nQualificationsnMust be a Procurement SME (third party management, spend, accounts payable, source to contract)nData aware – this is all about getting data from source systems to the DBS refinery to qlik visualisation and additional predictive analyticsnIn-depth knowledge of procurement principles, best practices, and industry trends.nStrong negotiation skills and contract management experience. Proven track record of achieving cost savings, mitigating risks, and driving supplier performance improvements.nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.nAbility to analyze complex data, draw insights, and make data-driven recommendations.
