We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Slinger to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient lifting operations on our marine civil engineering site.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely sling and direct loads being lifted by cranes or other lifting equipment.
Communicate effectively with crane operators to ensure safe and precise lifting operations.
Inspect lifting gear and equipment before use to ensure they are in good condition and compliant with safety standards.
Assist in the setup and dismantling of lifting equipment and cranes.
Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of all personnel on site.
Work closely with the Crane Supervisor and other team members to coordinate lifting activities.
Maintain accurate records of lifting operations and inspections.Requirements:
Proven experience as a Slinger in a marine or civil engineering environment.
Valid Slinger certification (e.g., CPCS, NPORS).
Strong understanding of lifting operations and safety regulations.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
