We count over 300 airlines among our valued customers, including some of the world’s major carriers, supplying products to the major OEM’s such as Airbus and Boeing.We are looking for a team player to join our Quality Department to provide support to the Teledyne Controls business unit. Reporting to the Site Manager, the Quality Manager will be the nominated post holder and will have the authority and responsibility for the monitoring of compliance across both regulatory and certification standards.Detailed DescriptionThe Quality Manager shall be responsible to the Site Manager for;the control, maintenance and development of the companies ISO Management Systems (EN9100/EN9110/ISO14001 and ISO45001) and CAA/EASA Part 145 / CAA Part21G approvals Liaison and co-ordination with the regulatory and certification bodies as required by existing procedures ensuring that the activities of the organisation are monitored for compliance with the applicable requirements and any additional requirements as established by the organisation, and that these activities are carried out properly under the supervision of the nominated persons establishing an independent audit system to monitor compliance of the management systems, and that an audit plan is properly implemented, maintained, and continually reviewed and improved corrections and corrective actions are requested as necessary. establishing regular management review meetings with the management team to appraise the effectiveness of the company’s’ management systems. monitoring the amendment of the organisation’s procedures and standard practices to align with ISO and Regulatory Approval requirements. submission of associated document amendments, to the regulatory/certification authorities for approval. assessing providers of materials, standard parts, components and contracted organisations for satisfactory product quality in relation to the needs of the organisation. Issue /renewal/cancellation of individual training authorisations in relation to staff. managing the safety reporting scheme and the occurrence reporting system, including initiation and follow-up of internal occurrence investigations with the Operations Manager. facilitate hazard identification, risk assessment and management with the Operations Manager, ensuring there is safety training available, and that it meets acceptable standards. monitor the implementation of actions taken to mitigate risks, as listed in the safety action plan, unless action follow-up is addressed by the quality function. Provide periodic reports on safety performance to Safety review meetings/ Management Review meetings.. Provide limited support the audit function at our Teledyne Controls site in Heathrow. Provide quality inspections such as First article inspections in Production matters. ExperienceEssentialHolds a Lead Auditor Certification (essential) in one or more of the standards (preferably in either ISO 9001, EN9100 or EN9110). Experience in having implemented and maintained management systems certified to ISO9001/EN9100/EN9110. Experience in having maintained the requirements of an ISO14001/45001 management system. Experience in creating and maintaining process documentation in relation to ISO Standards / Regulatory frameworks Hands on experience in conducting Internal and External audits in accordance to the defined audit plan Holds a relevant technical qualifications in an engineering field with ability to interpret drawing technical / dimensional data. Excellent proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) for data analysis and report compilation. DesirableExperience with Safety Management Systems in an Aviation/Avionics or Electronics environment. Training on Aviation Regulation training is preferred but not essential as training will be provided to the successful candidate (Part 145, Part21G and Part21J) Knowledge of end user Microsoft SharePoint environment and operation is preferable Range Of Benefits Include.Salary sacrifice-led pension plan that matches employee contributions up to 7%.
