Solution Architect

The Solution architect performs a critical role in the effective delivery of IT services.nThey are responsible for the development of high-level business strategy or tactical business requirements, identifying the business capabilities that are needed and translating them into new technical solutions.nThey also review existing systems to identify opportunities for improvement or replacement

Key Responsibilities

Identify required business capabilities and define the systems architectures and solutions that deliver these.nDevelop multi-year business capability roadmaps working with Head of Business SystemsnFor new projects capture business requirements, develop high level solutions and contribute to the development of robust business cases.nEnsure initiatives are set up for success and aligned with the corporate strategy.nMaintain creativity and innovation by staying on top of industry and technological trends.

Key Skills

Enterprise architecture methods (eg TOGAF).nBusiness Analysis skills including formal methods e.g. process flows, use cases etc.nExtensive SAP experience – preferably Finance, Aftermarket and Manufacturing.nRelationship-building and influencing.nStrategic thinking.nStrong communication skills - written, spoken and presentation.nAbility to be collaborative and to encourage collaboration.
