Spa Manager
We are actively seeking a Spa Manager for a brand-new boutique hotel opening in Oxford. The Store is a new contemporary hotel and venue based in the heart of Oxford.
Job Summary
As our Spa Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the hotel’s spa and well-being operations and ensuring that guests have a memorable and rejuvenating experience. This includes managing and motivating thespa team, developing, and implementing spa menus and well-being services, and ensuring that all spa operations are efficient and effective.Your key responsibilities will include, developing and training the spa team to provide exceptional customer service, driving revenue through effective scheduling, yield management, and sales whilst managing budgets and financial reporting.Compliance with health and safety regulations will be important along with carefully managing inventory and ordering supplies.Overall, as the Spa Manager, you will play a critical role in enhancing the guest experience, maximizing revenue and growth, and ensuring that the hotel’s spa operations meet the highest standards of quality and service. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to develop and promote spa and well-being packages and promotions that meet the needs and preferences of the hotel and localtarget market.
Job Responsibilities – Summary
Responsible for driving key elements of the operation such as operating criteria, programming, budgeting, VIP guest visits, colleague relations, and trainingResponsible for driving the revenue of all business centers in the Spa through effective scheduling, yield management, and salesOversee the spa operation ensuring all guests visiting The Spa are attended to in a professional and efficient mannerDevelop structures and SOPs in line with company standards that exceed the expectations of our guestsPrepare the weekly schedule to ensure manning levels are appropriate to meet expected demand as per the hotel occupancy forecastResponsible for training and explaining the job description for new employeesAttend to any task relating to The Spa or Hotel as directed by managementCheck opening procedure details for the morning shift and closing procedure details for the evening shiftCheck all maintenance in the spa, make work orders if necessary, and follow up.Continually monitor reservations ensuring the software system is updated with complete and accurate information.Upsell treatments, products, and services and coach staff in developing selling skills by giving feedback and leading by exampleAssist and supervise all spa team membersCheck inventory to ensure we have sufficient stock levels on hand as per the forecastPrepare monthly reports ensuring all statistics are accurate Uphold hygiene standards and follow health and safety regulations throughout the Spa as described in the company brand standards
The Candidate 
Previous experience in spa management is essential with pre-opening experience, an added advantage.A general passion for spa and wellness and hold qualifications in Beauty/Massage at minimum Diploma Level 3. A degreeor certification in hospitality or a related field is also an advantageThe Spa Manager role contributes to the Hotel’s success by providing a consistently memorable and relaxing wellbeingexperience for our guests with the willingness to exceed guest expectationsAbility to drive the financial performance of the SpaStrong sales skills to drive revenue from Spa treatments, programs & retail Ability to take charge and solve problems and effective planningAbility to set objectives for the teamExperience working with computerized hotel/spa/salon booking and scheduling softwareAbility to be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision: the ability to work conscientiously, be organized and detail-oriented
Salary is from £35,000 per annum, experience dependant.
