CV-Library - the UK's favourite job board and Thames Valley Employer of the Year 2022 - are looking for an experienced DevOps Manager to join our fast growing team.
As a DevOps Manager, you will have demonstrable excellent knowledge of AWS DevOps and modern practices including event-driven architecture, CI/CD, and IaC; as well as extensive experience leading a supporting a highly skilled and talented Ops team. This role is mainly team management, hands off.
Responsibilities
* Develop, mentor, and support the Ops team fostering career growth and improvement in stability and IT automation
* Define and deliver the strategy, approach, and execution for the DevOps function identifying opportunities for business process improvement and optimisation
* Collaborate closely with our Engineering and Product teams to resolve Incidents quickly and efficiently
* Manage existing Hybrid Cloud/Private Cloud environment, driving the migration of service to AWS
* Spearhead DevOps innovation, applying industry best practise architectures and methodologies in our environments
Requirements
* At least 5+ years' experience in a fast-paced DevOps leadership role, managing a team of engineers currently about 15.
* Applicants must be highly motivated, proactive, and have a passion for automation; with a developed sense of integrity and commitment to excellence
* Excellent communication skills in English - both written and verbal.
* Strong work ethic and team player mentality with rapid decision making and analytical abilities
* Expertise and experience to nurture and coach existing capabilities within our teams
* IaC, Terraform, CloudFormation code expertise, with Python or other development language
* Significant experience with AWS (including serverless), preferably backed by AWS certification
* Expertise in CI/CD - Jenkins / ArgoCD / CircleCI, Docker/Kubernetes, Linux, Microservice Architectures, Agile/SCRUM
