Your Key Responsibilities as the SEN teacher:
Ensuring that they can achieve their full educational potential and to establishing fair, respectful, trusting, supportive and constructive relationships with them.
Hold positive values and attitudes and adopt high standards of behaviour in their professional role.
Communicate effectively with children, young people, and colleagues.
Act upon advice and feedback and be open to coaching and mentoring.
Have a good, up-to-date working knowledge and understanding of a range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies and know how to use and adapt them.SEN Teacher Requirements:
Experience as an SEN teacher specifically with ASD
Able to teach Functional Skills qualifications and/or Btecs
Ability to remain calm and reflective when working in a challenging environment.
A resilient and proactive attitude, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Good energy and enthusiasm for supporting students with special educational needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. SEN Teacher Criteria

DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one.
