Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) and a knack for leadership? Join this dynamic team at Keighley as a hands-on HGV Workshop Manager.


The Role: As an HGV Workshop Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy workshop which will involve the management of around 10 members of staff. Your expertise will ensure that our fleet of vehicles is maintained to the highest standards, keeping them safe and roadworthy. Your leadership will inspire and guide our skilled team of mechanics and technicians to deliver exceptional service.


Key Responsibilities:

  • This role will be a split role between the office and workshop and you will be expected to be somewhat a little hands on with diagnostics, analysis, reviewing and aiding problem solving as well as managing parts and staff.
  • Manage and supervise all workshop activities, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Lead and motivate a team of mechanics and technicians, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Coordinate and schedule maintenance and repair work to minimize downtime and meet customer deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor and manage workshop budgets, including inventory control and procurement of parts and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
  • Implement and oversee training programs to keep the team updated on the latest industry standards and technologies.


What We’re Looking For:

  • As a Workshop Manager you will have proven experience in HGV maintenance and repair.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive and results-driven attitude.
  • Relevant technical qualifications and certifications are a plus.
