Metalis Engineering are currently working alongside a specialist manufacturing company based in Coventry who are looking for an experienced Estimator to join their friendly and growing team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Preparing accurate cost plans and pricing - Ensuring competitiveness and profitability
Sourcing and obtaining quotations as appropriate and negotiating best possible price
Analysing drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates
Processing incoming and outgoing tenders, reviewing information received, and ensuring all internal forms are completed and processed to a consistently high standard
Monitoring and reviewing cost estimates throughout the project life cycle to ensure budgetary control
Liaising with Sales Team, Department Manager, production team and occasionally client contact points as necessary to understand their needs to agree scope of work
Preparing a design, costing and accurate estimates to the Sales Team / Commercial and Technical Director
Shifts & Salary:
£35,000 (dependent on experience)
Days, Monday - Friday
Permanent Opportunity
The Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience as an Estimator with a specialisation in joinery and or construction
Strong understanding of joinery / construction methods, materials, and industry standards
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as Excel and estimating software
Strong communication and negotiation skills
