Flourish Education are recruiting for a Year 5 Booster Teacher to join a local partnership school in Frankley, Birmingham. This is medium sized, ‘good’ school, who believe in providing all pupils with the skills, knowledge and experience to enable them to continue their learning and development throughout their life.
Our client is seeking a Booster Teacher to support their Year 5 classes by delivering 1:1 and small group intervention sessions. These sessions are pre-planned, but some tweaking may be required. The responsibilities will include providing Year 5 pupils with small group or 1:1 intervention sessions, recording and reporting on progress of the pupils and maintaining excellent behaviour within these sessions. This role will also include potentially covering lessons across the whole of Key Stage 2 (KS2).
This role is for a Year 5 Booster Teacher and is a full-time, long-term position, starting as soon as possible until the end of the academic year.
Required skills and experience for this Year 5 Booster Teacher Role:
To hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
The ability to deliver pre-planned intervention sessions across Year 5.
To create a safe, engaging and positive learning environment.
Provide feedback to pupils, in line with the school’s policy.
Communicate effectively with staff, pupils, and parents.
Set clear expectations for behaviour and learning in the classroom.
The benefits of a Year 5 Booster Teacher working for Flourish Education:
£125 to £170 per day which equates to £24,375 to £33,150 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year.
