Repair Operator
Location: Merthyr Tydfil
Salary £30K
4 days per week – Monday to Thursday – 7:00am to 5:00pm – Every Friday off
Should be willing to do overtime on some Fridays – as the site is really busy.
There is also the possibility of doing the regular working hours over 5 days, instead of 4.
Duties
Installing/repairing mechanical or electrical items on vehicles in a workshop environment.
At all times operating within Health and Safety practices of the company
Accurate record keeping
Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
Understand and comply with policies and procedures, carry out work in a safe and diligent manner with minimal supervision.
Where required, has sufficient experience to work with limited or no Work Instructions (WIs)
Requirements
Good all-round Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to read assembly documentation such as, drawings and work instructions.
General knowledge of assembly operations, repair techniques and fault finding
Ability to work in a multi-faceted team environment.
Ability to work at heights and in restricted spaces.
Flexible to meet the demands of the business.
A can-do attitude and a strong work ethic
