Trainee Gardener

Permanent, Full Time (39 hours per week)

About the role
As a Trainee Gardener in our Landscaping Team, you will be working with our team of professional Gardeners in Homestead Park, delivering high quality horticultural services. As well as ongoing seasonal maintenance, you will also be involved in renovation and development projects as we look to refresh our landscaped areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge In addition to learning on the job, you will also attend horticulture college or conduct online distance learning to develop your horticultural acumen and technical skills further (to the equivalent of RHS Level 2).
About you
As our Trainee Gardener, we’d like you to have a genuine interest in green spaces and ideally have had some exposure to formal horticulture. With exceptional communication skills, you’ll have knowledge of safe working practices and an awareness of Health & Safety, including personal protective equipment and the safe operation of machinery and equipment.
Experience of using a wide variety of landscape and grounds maintenance machinery and equipment, including hand-held machinery, pedestrian equipment and ride-on mowers is desirable.
