On behalf of our client, MRG Global is undertaking a confidential search for several exceptional candidates to fill the position of Commercial Director. Our client will visit London to conduct in-person interviews, so this is your chance to get face to face with the hiring team from one of the projects everyone is talking about.
Overview:
Our client is an ambitious, PIF-backed project based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Commercial Director will play a crucial role in overseeing and leading the commercial process for various projects within our client’s delivery function.

Responsibilities:
Financial ManagementnBudget Management : Developing and managing budgets for construction projects to ensure financial efficiency and profitability.nCost Control : Implementing and monitoring cost control measures to minimize financial risk and ensure project costs remain within budget.nForecasting : Preparing financial forecasts and projections to assist in decision-making and strategic planning.nContract AdministrationnContract Negotiation : Leading the negotiation of contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure favorable terms and conditions.nContract Management : Overseeing the administration of contracts to ensure compliance with terms, timely delivery, and resolution of disputes.nClaims Management : Handling claims for additional costs or extensions of time, ensuring they are substantiated and negotiated effectively.nProject ManagementnProject Planning : Contributing to project planning and scheduling to align financial and contractual strategies with project timelines.nRisk Management : Identifying and managing financial and contractual risks associated with construction projects.nResource Allocation : Ensuring appropriate allocation of financial and material resources to meet project requirements.nTeam Leadership and DevelopmentnTeam Leadership : Leading and managing a team of quantity surveyors and commercial professionals, providing guidance and support.nStakeholder ManagementnClient Relations : Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to secure repeat business and ensure customer satisfaction.nSupplier and Subcontractor Relations : Establishing and nurturing relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms and ensure quality delivery.nCompliance and ReportingnRegulatory Compliance : Ensuring all financial and contractual activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.nReporting : Preparing regular financial and project performance reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Commercial Director role possesses the following qualifications and attributes:nBachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, or a related field.nA minimum of 15 years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity, demonstrating a track record of success in complex and high-value projects.nMRICS.
