Monday – Friday (Early Finish on a Friday)
Senior Process Engineer required for a well established manufacturer who are market leading in their industry. This is a varied role with a high level of autonomy/responsibility.
The will be expected to establish and enhance processes to meet quality standards, analyse performance, and implement improvements to maximize productivity and minimize waste. Your problem-solving skills will be crucial in resolving issues related to process, health, safety, and quality. Leading initiatives to improve productivity, performance, and reduce operator tasks and waste will be a significant part of your role.
As the Senior Quality Engineer will manage projects to improve production processes using lean manufacturing principles, introduce new technologies and equipment, and optimize production layouts. Collaboration with engineers and departments will be essential to launch new products, design jigs and fixtures, conduct PFMEA, and ensure smooth NPI implementation. Additionally, you will identify and implement improvements in health, safety, quality, and process efficiency while ensuring regulatory compliance. Maintaining process-related documents, including SOPs, setup instructions, tool changeover procedures, and managing material flow documentation, will also be your responsibility.
The Senior Process Engineer:
*Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with managers, colleagues, and contractors.
*Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
*In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
*Excellent attention to detail.
*Ability to work as an integral member of a team, highlighting design challenges and assisting with overcoming obstacles.
The Person:
*BTEC Level 5 (HND) or City & Guilds equivalent in an engineering discipline.
*Icorr Level 2 certification.
*Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
*Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in process implementation.
*Proven experience as a Coating Specialist or in a similar role within the coatings industry.
*Experience or knowledge of DFMEA and PFMEA
