Job Title: Assembly Operative
Location: Denham
Pay Range: £27,000 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
Omega Resource are now supporting a global recognised specialist manufacturer of ejection seats and safety-related equipment for aviation industry. The right candidate will be responsible for the assembly and inspection of components and sub-assemblies in accordance with the quality standards and production schedule.
Key Responsibilities – Assembly Operative
Using technical specifications, defined working methods and drawings to build components and sub-assemblies to required quality standards.
Undertake self-inspection and quality check of work undertaken in accordance with laid down quality standards and procedures.
Assist in the successful implementation of on-going Lean Initiatives including 5S activities and continuous Improvement programme.
Handle materials, goods, and components carefully and comply with safety regulations.
Report any dangerous practices and other dangers such as faulty equipment to local supervision so that all operations are always safe.
Monitoring of tools and equipment and provide for their replacement and/or recalibration so that tools and equipment are always in good condition and suitable for purpose.
Qualifications & Requirements – Assembly Operative
Mechanical sub-assembly experience.
Experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
Grounding in H&S policies and procedures.
Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings.
Assembly, Fitting and inspection techniques.
Use of hand tools and gauges.
