Solicitor / Associate – Real Estate Development (Southampton, Hybrid Working) An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate to join a busy and growing Real Estate Development team based in Southampton, with flexibility for hybrid, part-time, or condensed hours. This key role offers exposure to a wide range of development transactions, including residential and commercial site acquisitions, strategic land projects, healthcare and care home developments. Responsibilities Transactional Support: Manage and advise on real estate development matters, including acquisitions, developments and financing. Drafting & Negotiation: Prepare and negotiate development agreements, option agreements, and conditional contracts. Client Engagement: Build strong relationships and deliver practical, commercially focused advice. Case Management: Handle matters independently with guidance from senior colleagues as needed. Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across legal teams to deliver seamless client service. About the Team The team is known for its supportive and collaborative culture, offering a balance of high-quality work with a strong focus on well-being. The leadership team takes a proactive approach to pay reviews and promotions, recognising hard work and ensuring people are rewarded and progressed on merit – not just at fixed review points. What We’re Looking For Experience: Qualified Solicitor or Associate with 3–6 years’ PQE in real estate development. Expertise: Strong technical skills in residential and commercial development law.
