Exciting Opportunity: HV Mechanical Fitter - DNO Networks (33kV to 132kV)
Are you a skilled HV Mechanical Fitter with hands-on experience in working on DNO (Distribution Network Operator) networks spanning from 33kV to 132kV? Key Responsibilities:
* Perform mechanical fitting tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and installation of high voltage equipment within DNO networks between 33kV and 132kV.
* Carry out inspections, tests, and fault-finding activities to ensure the reliability and functionality of mechanical components, including transformers, switchgear, and associated apparatus.
* Follow technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions to execute tasks safely and accurately, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and subcontractors to coordinate activities, share knowledge, and achieve project objectives within allocated timeframes and budgets.
* Uphold health and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe working practices, and compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an HV Mechanical Fitter, with a focus on DNO networks between 33kV and 132kV, preferably within the electricity industry.
* Sound knowledge of mechanical fitting techniques, tools, and equipment used in the maintenance and installation of high voltage systems.
* Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications to carry out tasks accurately and efficiently.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality, safety, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or a related field would be advantageous.
