Global Facade Director - Structural Engineering

London - Hybrid - Salary Negotiable £120-150k Plus


Truly amazing opportunity for a Qualified Structural Engineering professional / Facade Director who comes from a Consultancy background, possessing excellent knowledge of sustainability practices, to come on board as the Global Facade Director.


Job Purpose :

Spearheading the Faced Design Team - Working onsite with Clients in Dubai, Middle East, and UK. To be responsible and involved in the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of work for all the scope & also meeting consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. You will be well conversant with Codes for Building designs.


To monitor Designs and manage timely deliverables and project management to help the Organization deliver projects to the Customers in time and Quality.


Design:

  • Creating concepts & design briefs.
  • Value additions in design
  • Specifications of the projects and decision making


Job Duties:

  1. Spearhead Façade designs, driving strategic growth and offering comprehensive services to the clients.
  2. Identify and develop talent within the team and establish new roles for proficient in-house delivery of design services.
  3. Lead the Façade design team, setting performance objectives and fostering personal growth.
  4. Provide high level value engineering led technical expertise when applying structural engineering principles, techniques and methods to the planning and design of building services projects.
  5. Expand services through strategic partnerships and collaboration with engineering teams.
  6. Innovate beyond conventional practices by harnessing software tools like Rhino, Grasshopper, etc., and automation for enhanced effectiveness.
  7. Contribute to business development, nurturing client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
  8. Shape marketing materials and provide insights into bids, fee proposals, and delivery methodologies.
  9. Have wide-ranging technical expertise including knowledge of façade structural and thermal calculations, specifications and performance requirements, technical due diligence surveys, etc.
  10. Knowledge of FEA programs including non-linear/thermal analysis programs.

Educational Qualification:


Graduate degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or Building Design (Architectural) from Reputed College/University

(Preference: Master’s degree from Reputed College/University)


Software Knowledge:


ETABS, SAFE, STAADPRO, AutoCAD, Revit.


Working Hours:


Working hours are typically Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm


Work Experience:


20+years of project experience in shopping malls, Hotels, Hospitals and Residential & Commercial Towers, high rise projects using latest design and construction technologies.
