Job description
We are currently recruiting for an Art Teacher to work across KS3- KS5 in Tamworth. This is an immediate position. We will only consider candidates who specialise in Art.
Position Overview:
As an Art Teacher you will play a pivotal role in guiding students on their artistic journey. You will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging art lessons, nurturing individual creativity, and helping students build their skills in various artistic mediums. We are looking for a talented educator who can foster a love for art while ensuring students develop their artistic abilities.
Responsibilities:
* Planning and delivering Art lessons
* Teach students various art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art
* Encourage students to explore their creativity, experiment with different art forms, and develop their unique artistic voice.
* Encourage and promote group learning as well as independent learning, assisting students with critical thinking and problem solving.
* Identifying students that require additional help.
* Supporting and planning classroom activities and ensuring each student has the adequate resources.
* Ensuring health and safety procedures are adhered to by all students.
* Collaborate with other colleagues and parents to ensure student behaviour is up to the required Standard.
* Providing honest feedback to promote growth in key areas.
* Stay current with art trends and teaching methods and incorporate innovative approaches into your lessons.
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and a love for learning.
Monday to Friday
Requirements:
* Valid DBS Check
* Bachelor’s degree in fine arts, Art Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
* Passion for teaching and a deep appreciation for art.
* Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience
* Previous experience working with children (Preferred)
* Excellent communicational skills
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in fast paced environments.
* QTS in the UK
* Willing to relocate or commute to Tamworth.
* A warm, patient and nurturing approach when dealing with students.
* Having strong empathetic skills when dealing with challenges
